SEACT Scholarship Application

As part of ongoing efforts to increase professional development opportunities for members, SEACT will be awarding one (1) scholarship in the amount of $250 for use towards an upcoming TDM Forum. The scholarship funds can be used to cover conference registration fees, hotel room (not to exceed two nights at the conference hotel room rate), or transportation expenses. Receipts are required for reimbursement of expenses.

The scholarship recipient will be notified within five (5) working days after the deadline. Additional information concerning the ACT TDM Forum can be found: https://www.actweb.org/

Scholarship recipients are expected to report back to the SEACT Chapter on their conference experience. The report may be via a chapter e-newsletter article, chapter meeting presentation, video or some other method as approved by the Chapter Board.
Scholarship recipients are required to join and participate in a Chapter Committee: Membership, Marketing or Technology. Participation requires attendance in quarterly committee meetings and committee activities detailed in SEACT Chapter Bylaws.

NOTE: Members who have received a scholarship within the past two years may be ineligible for the SEACT scholarship program.

1. Briefly describe your role in transportation demand management, including the type of commuter assistance provided by your agency.

2. Briefly describe how attending the forum will benefit your development as a TDM professional, as well as furthering the goals of your company/organization.

3. Which facilitated discussion group or session are you the most interested in attending and what are you hoping to learn?

4. Please list any positions, responsibilities, or services that you have held or performed for SEACT, including the date of the most recent ACT regional or international conference you attended.

By submitting this application, you agree to the following statement:
“The information provided above is, to the best of my knowledge, correct and truthful. I hereby submit this application for a SEACT Scholarship to pay up to a maximum of $250for conference-related expenses. I, or my employer, will be responsible for the initial payment of hotel room, all meals and transportation expenses related to the Conference, and the $250 award will be used for reimbursement of all or part of those expenses (receipts are required for travel and hotel room expenses). If I am selected for a scholarship and for some reason cannot attend, I will immediately notify the SEACT Board so the scholarship may be awarded to another applicant.”
